Tom kha pla ต้มข่าปลา

Tom kha pla is one of primal favourite dish coz it contains enough good fat, fish, some herbs and delicious.

What you need (for 2 people)

3 cups of coconut milk

3 piece of galangal

2 pieces of lemongrass

2-3 pieces of kaffir lime leaves

300g of Wild caught fish (,grouper,sea bass,cod or whatever you like)

A cup of straw mushroom

1/2 cup onion or shallots

2-3 dried chilli

sea salt

lime juice

some coriander

How to cook

1.Make the fresh coconut milk and put in a pot

2.Crush or chop all the herbs(lemongrass,kaffir lime leaves, galangal) and put them in the pot.Cook with medium heat

3.Slice onion, cut the fish and cut mushroom in half(if they are big) then put them in the pot

4.cook with medium heat until mushroom is cooked and onion is transparent

5.Season with lime juice and sea salt

6.Sprinkle with chopped coriander

You can enjoy it as a soup alone or with cooked veggie and cooked and cooled rice 🙂
